Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Glade. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Enable two-factor authentication where available, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may not share, sell or transfer your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• break the law or infringe others’ rights;
• harass, threaten, or abuse others, or distribute spam, malware or sexually exploitative content;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
• evade moderation, bans, or rate limits, or impersonate any person or organization.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create on Glade. You grant us a limited license to host, store and transmit that content solely to operate and provide the Service. You are responsible for the content you post, and you represent that you have the rights to share it. Note that direct messages are end-to-end encrypted and are not readable by us.

5. Houses & communities

Houses are operated by their owners and members. House owners set their own rules and are responsible for moderating their communities. We may remove content or communities that violate these Terms.

6. Portals

Portals let you open a shared, synchronized browser inside a voice channel so you can browse and watch together. The member who opens a Portal (the “Portal creator”) is responsible for the websites, media and other content opened, viewed, controlled or shared within it, and for ensuring that such use complies with these Terms, with applicable law, and with the terms and policies of any third-party site accessed through the Portal. You must have the necessary rights to access and share any content you bring into a Portal, and you may not use Portals to stream, display or distribute infringing, unlawful, or otherwise prohibited content (see Acceptable use above). Content shown in a Portal may be visible to everyone in the channel, so do not open anything you would not want those participants to see. You are responsible for, and agree to indemnify us against, claims arising from content accessed or shared through Portals you create or control.

7. Subscriptions & payments

Paid plans (such as Bloom) are billed through our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; you can cancel at any time and retain access through the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or create risk or legal exposure for us. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glade and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

11. Privacy, cookies & analytics

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By creating an account or logging in, you agree that, while you are signed in, we collect analytics and set the related cookies to understand aggregate usage and improve the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. These analytics run only inside the app for signed-in users; our public landing and blog pages do not collect analytics or set analytics cookies.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
